F amille d'origine toscane, dit-on, établie à Nice et dans diverses localités du Comté au XV- siècle.

Raphaël Martini était, en 1438, aubergiste à Nice; en 1446, il fut élevé à la charge de second consul et enfin, le 14 juin 1447, il recevait des patentes de noblesse du duc de Savoie.
