Recently a woman in England, newly converted to Orthodoxy, ἔψαχνε νὰ βρεῖ σπίτι κοντὰ σὲ ἐκκλησία γιὰ νὰ μπορεῖ νὰ παρακολουθεῖ καθημερινὰ τὴ Θεία Λειτουργία. Αὐτὴ καὶ ὁ πνευματικός της προσευχήθηκαν στὴν Ἁγία Ξένια καὶ ὦ τοῦ θαύματος σὲ λίγες μέρες ἡ γυναίκα αὐτὴ βρῆκε ἕνα διαμέρισμα σὲ ἕνα σπίτι ἀκριβῶς δίπλα ἀπὸ τὴν  ἐκκλησία! Θαυμαστὸς ὁ Θεὸς ἐν τοῖς Ἁγίοις Αὐτοῦ!

            Ἕνα εὐσεβὴ ἔθιμο εἶναι ἡ προσφορὰ Τρισάγιου ὑπὲρ ἀναπαύσεως τοῦ συζύγου Andrea's, for whom she prayed fervently to the end of life.

Realizing the vanity of earthly goods and the highly transient joys of life here, she took off she had. His family, concerned about his behavior, did justice to intervene to prevent it from delivering what possessed her husband, accusing him of being crazy.

After full and careful consideration, it was determined that it was perfectly sane and therefore could have his way of his property. She distributed so that it remained poor, gave his house to one of her friends named Paraskevi Antonovna.

She disappeared eight years and is thought to be retired to a convent to prepare for his new life, under the guidance of an elder. She was twenty-six years old when she died in the world. For forty-five years till his death at seventy-one years she was the mad-for-Christ of St. Petersburg. She wandered into the city, preferably remaining in the worst neighborhoods in the city, called Peterbourskaya Storoni. She had attended his way to the construction of the cemetery chapel in Smolensk where she was herself buried. On his tomb was inscribed the following epitaph: "In the Name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Here lies the body of the Servant of God Grigorievna Xenia, wife of singer Imperial Colonel Andre Théodorovitch Petrov. Widowed at age twenty-six, forty-five cape, she lived seventy-one years. She was known as Andre Théodorovitch. Let those who know me pray for my soul so that their soul is saved. Amin!

A chapel was built over his tomb in 1900. The inhabitants of the city and All Russia came there on pilgrimage as they went already, since his repose in Christ, on his tomb, where many miracles were taking place. In 1940, the chapel was closed. We went to the church in 1947. We closed it again in 1960 and it was finally returned to the Church in 1983.
